RC Thor Scholarship

Created by Wonder Theatre, the RC Thor Scholarship provides a local student with a scholarship to attend Wonder Theatre Academy.

Named after one of our community's most avid supporter and patron of theater and arts education, the RC Thor Scholarship was founded to assist students who are interested in the arts but may not have the financial means to pursue their passion.

RC Thor was born and raised in New York City by a musical, theatrical family. He spent most of his childhood and high school years singing, dancing, and acting whenever he could. Upon graduating high school and college he spent 12 years in the Army, including an assignment in a Thailand hospital treating our Vietnam War casualties. Theatrically, RC has appeared onstage in well over 100 musical and non-musical productions. He is humbly funding his scholarship to assist other motivated young people to "follow their dream!" Our goal is to continue to fund the RC Thor Scholarship through Wonder Theatre.

Rowan Windham Memorial Scholarship Fund

Rowan Jameson Windham was a very special 10-year-old boy who was an active Academy student until he lost his battle with a terminal illness in December of 2016. His passing left all of our staff, students, and teachers that knew him with a heavy heart. Rowan used to always say that he loved the Wonder because he felt normal here and his condition never was an issue for him performing on our stage. Wonder Theatre Staff and Rowan’s mother Carrie Windham wanted to continue his legacy at the Wonder by creating a scholarship program that people could donate to and so that a new aspiring young performer could be sponsored each year.
