Spring 2025 Leg Up Classes

Are you ready to step into the world of musical theatre?

At Wonder Theatre Academy, students can take classes in musical theatre dance, vocal music, and stage acting. Leg Up Classes are for any students ages 3-18 (incoming high school seniors) of all skill levels—we welcome everyone, whether they’re completely new or a seasoned performer!

Classes begin Jan. 13th!

Purchase First Week Passes (Links Below)

For just $25, you can try any class (within your age range) during the first week of class! Families who decide to purchase a membership and stay for the semester will have this credited back to their account to go toward registration fees.

Classes start January 13th and will end with BRAVO! Spring Showcase, our end of semester showcase.

BRAVO! is a showcase that allows students to show off the skills they have learned throughout the semester. Tickets to the show are $5 each. Ticket info will be sent as the end of the semester approaches.

How to Purchase a First Week Pass

New families can use this link to create their account!

For new registrants, parent information is needed on the first page of the registration form. Once filled out, click "Add Relationship" at the bottom of the first page. Child information will be filled out on the second page. Save the form, sign the waiver, and continue to purchase your First Week Pass!

All registrants only need to buy their First Week Pass! Just show up to the class(es) you want to try the week of January 13-16.

Neither returning families or new families will need to book classes, as that will take place on your first day. Simply purchase a pass in advance and arrive to the classes you wish to take that first week!

After the first week, families will be able to register for the classes they wish to take.


2025 Spring Break Camp

Defy Gravity

Dates: March 10-14, 9 AM - 4 PM
Age: 7-12 years old
Cost: $375
Total Students: capped at 30

Come and join us on a magical journey down the Yellow Brick Road, where students will defy gravity and soar to new heights on stage at our Wicked themed Spring Break camp! 

Students will explore the Land of Oz by learning songs and scenes from the hit musicals Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, and The Wiz. Campers will collaborate with new friends, devise original Oz-themed costume designs and crafts, and expand their imaginations as they play drama games, learn musical numbers, and hone performance skills. The week ends with a performance showcase for parents to attend.

Class Descriptions

All classes are separated by age range.

  • Broadway Babies: 3-5 year olds. All students in this class must be potty trained and must be able to do so unassisted.

  • Little Wonders: 5-7 year olds.

  • 8-11 Year Olds

  • 12-18 Year Olds*

    • *Certain classes will have different age ranges, such as 12-14, or 14-18.

TINY TRIPLE THREATS

Students will be introduced to the WONDERful world of Musical Theatre! Students will participate in acting games and exercises, learn basic dance steps and combinations, and learn about rhythm and singing techniques. 

All students in these classes must be potty trained and must be able to do so unassisted. Instructors can escort students to the bathroom but must remain outside.

  • Broadway Babies: Ages 3-5 years

  • Little Wonders: Ages 5-7 years

ACTING: Students will develop skills in characterization and analysis through acting exercises and games. They will explore theatre history, monologue and group scene work, improv, and practice cold readings.

MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE: Students will focus on technique, isolations, progressions, performance quality, and develop complex rhythm patterns through combinations.

TAP: Students will learn rhythmic patterns, musicality, terminology, and technique through classic and modern styles.

VOCAL MUSIC: Students will learn proper breath support, sound placement, music theory, harmony, solfege, sight reading, and building a repertoire of classical and contemporary music.

DRESS CODE

Wonder Theatre Academy Dress Code
Students must adhere to our dress code for all classes.

Broadway Babies and Little Wonders

Comfortable clothing as students will be exploring singing, acting, and dancing and will be moving around, sitting, or laying on the floor. Students must wear shorts under dresses or skirts. Jazz/Ballet shoes are recommended but not required. If you do not have jazz shoes, be prepared to remove shoes (socks required) in the dance studio.

Acting and Vocal Music Classes

Comfortable clothing. Students are often asked to move around, sit or lie on the floor.

Dance Classes

  • Black leggings, jazz pants/capris, or bike shorts. NO JEANS.

  • Any solid color leotard, crop top, tank top, or fitted t-shirt. 

  • Black or beige jazz shoes. Street shoes are not allowed in our dance studio.

You may choose the style of dancewear that feels best to your dancer. Dance wear can be purchased at Dorothy’s Dance Shop (Target, Amazon, and other retailers also carry options).

 

 

TUITION

Below are the tuition costs per membership for the entirety of the Spring Semester. Each covers your classes through the semester, and can be paid in full, or broken up into three equal payments. If you will be taking one course a week, you want a One Class Pass. If you are taking two classes a week, you’ll want a Two Class Pass, and so on.

  • One Class Pass: $235

  • Two Class Pass: $365

  • Three Class Pass: $490

  • Four Class Pass: $617

After you purchase your membership, a one-time $100 Registration Fee will be applicable. This includes admin costs, scholarship funding, a Bravo! recital fee, material costs, and will come with a Wonder Theatre shirt. When tuition is paid in FULL, a $25 discount will be applied to your Registration Fee.
