2025 Summer Internship
Wonder Theatre is accepting applications for an 10-week, full-time, summer internship position.
Internship period: June 2 – August 1.
The purpose of this internship is to not-only afford an immersive and meaningful educational experience working with a nonprofit arts organization, but to also simultaneously foster future leaders and potential employees for the arts sector in San Antonio.
Under the direct supervision of the Wonder Theatre Educational Director, the intern selected will be immersed in the day-to-day activities required to run an engaging, fun, fast paced, fun filled summer arts program.
The goal is to not only give the intern a comprehensive, "behind the scenes" understanding of the commitment required and skills necessary to provide meaningful and challenging and arts educational experiences, but to also help a college intern achieve their only learning goals and objectives through the process.
Among duties will be:
Assisting faculty with summer camp sessions
Leading warm up activities
Running scenes, lines, music and choreography
Guiding students on individual monologues and partner work
Offering assessment and critique of student performances
Assisting students with prop, playbill, and costume design
Helping facilitate all summer camp productions which will include: ushering, stage management, costume change assistance, make up application, spot light operations, prop management, sound board assistance etc.
**To be eligible, applicants must be undergraduate college students, attending a college or university. Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree are ineligible. Selected intern must pass a background check prior to working with students.

Prepare TWO (2) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION from professionals and/or educators familiar with your experience and skills. Please include the following information: a. How you know the applicant, and for how long have you known him/her b. The applicant's level of interest and potential for a career in theatre arts c. The applicant's work ethic, ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, etc.
One (1) page PERSONAL STATEMENT detailing why you are applying for this internship, what you hope to gain AND contribute to the experience, and your current career goals.
